ALSALAM Electronics Completes Its Largest and Most Complex Central Air-Conditioning Project, Delivering 69 Tons of Cooling Capacity for Raheel Restaurant & Café
Date: August 30, 2026

Manama, Bahrain – ALSALAM Electronics, Bahrain’s largest distributor of air conditioners and home appliances, has announced the completion of a fully integrated central air-conditioning project for Raheel Restaurant & Café—one of Bahrain’s largest modern restaurant and café developments. The three-storey venue features a distinctive architectural design and a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces.

The project included the supply and installation of Midea air-conditioning systems with a total cooling capacity of 69 tons. The solution incorporated energy-efficient inverter ducted systems with Wi-Fi control, alongside split air-conditioning units installed across various areas of the restaurant. This allows temperatures to be managed efficiently and flexibly throughout the venue.

One of the project’s most significant challenges was cooling a fully glazed outdoor room spanning 100 square metres. Surrounded by glass on all sides, the space is directly exposed to sunlight and high temperatures.

To manage this substantial heat load, a 12-ton air-conditioning system was installed within the room, demonstrating the efficiency and powerful cooling performance of Midea systems—even in environments with exceptionally high heat exposure.

Mr. Mohammed AlBunni, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of ALSALAM, said:

“The Raheel Restaurant & Café project marks an important milestone in ALSALAM’s expansion within Bahrain’s central air-conditioning projects market. This was not simply an air-conditioning supply and installation project; it represented a comprehensive engineering challenge due to the building’s structure, extensive glass façades, open kitchen, and interconnected spaces across multiple floors.”

He added:

“Our team conducted a detailed assessment of the cooling load within each area. Midea inverter systems were selected for their high cooling efficiency, energy-saving performance, and ease of control. The system’s success in cooling the outdoor glass room, despite its direct exposure to sunlight, reflects the strength of the solutions we provide and our ability to execute large-scale, technically complex projects with exceptional efficiency.”
