ALSALAM Electronics, Bahrain’s leading distributor of air conditioners and home appliances, has completed the upgrade of the air-conditioning system at Haji Abbas Al-Aradi Hussainiya in Arad, with the aim of improving cooling efficiency, energy performance, and overall comfort for visitors.
The project focused on maximizing the air-conditioning system’s performance across the Hussainiya’s indoor spaces, which can accommodate more than 400 people, particularly during occasions that attract high attendance.
The project included the installation of Midea ducted central air-conditioning systems, selected and distributed according to the layout of the premises and the expected occupancy levels. The system is designed to maintain stable temperatures, improve airflow distribution, and enhance energy efficiency compared with conventional systems.
The scope of work also included upgrading the thermal insulation of the existing air ducts located on the building’s rooftop. The existing insulation was replaced with 50 mm KIMMCO insulation with a density of 48 kg/m³, together with Foster protective coating and insulation fabric, in addition to the required installation and finishing works. These improvements help reduce cooling losses, protect the ductwork from external conditions, and enhance the overall efficiency of the system.
Mr. Abduljaleel Al-Aradi, representing the Board of Haji Abbas Al-Aradi Hussainiya, said:
“When upgrading the air-conditioning system, our priority was to select a solution that provides the required level of comfort for visitors, especially during occasions with high attendance. It was also important for us to rely on a system that offers efficiency, reliability, and reduced energy consumption.”
He added:
“Our decision to work with ALSALAM Electronics was based on our confidence in their experience and leadership in air-conditioning and HVAC projects, as well as their ability to provide integrated technical solutions, from selecting the appropriate system and planning the right distribution to execution and follow-up.”
The project forms part of ALSALAM Electronics’ growing portfolio of HVAC projects across Bahrain. The company provides integrated solutions covering site assessment, system design and selection, installation, insulation, commissioning, and after-sales support, tailored to the requirements and usage of each facility.
